Robert Krulikowski was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1988.
Through activities organised by the Group for Social Support and Engagement, aimed at young residents of Warsaw’s Praga district, he was introduced to the Brazilian martial art of capoeira.
In 2001, he began regular training, and in 2008, at the age of 20, he travelled to Brazil to explore the country that is the birthplace of capoeira.
What was initially planned as a short trip turned into a permanent stay, and he only returned to Poland after seven years to reunite with his family.
Robert has been living in Brasília for eight years, and recently he began working in the consular department of the Polish Embassy in Brasília. His path to this position was long and challenging, but it was in Brazil that he achieved dreams which would have been far more difficult to fulfil had he remained in Poland.
